Emergencies and/or Urgent care:

Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. Our staff consists of trained, knowledgeable professionals that are available 6 days a week to tend to your pets.  If you feel you have a daytime emergency with your pet, please call us so that our staff can be ready to assist you and prepare for your particular emergency or come to the hospital immediately. If an emergency occurs after hours, Dr. Chen or Dr. Weaver is on call until 10 pm. Please call our hospital phone number and the answering service will forward your message to them for assistance.  Any emergencies occurring after 10 pm are referred to the Capital District Emergency Clinic in Latham, N.Y. for immediate care and overnight supervision.  Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get a regular appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our staff members will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
