Our present team prides itself on their compassion for animals and enthusiasm for veterinary medicine and client education. Although our team appears small, our interests and strengths compliment each other allowing us to provide you and your pet with individualized health care plans, while offering the small town comfort of knowing each of our clients and patients on a more personal level.
Dr. Robert Chen has been with Fort Plain Animal Hospital since 1998. He is the primary veterinarian. Dr. Chen graduated from Beijing Agricultural University in 1984. He is a small animal practitioner who will also see some exotics. Along with the services we offer, Dr. Chen has a special interest in Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture. Dr. Chen is available for appointments Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday.
Dr. Stacy McGlashan has been with us since January of 2011. She graduated Cornell University in 2005 with a DVM. She is a general practitioner who also specializes in surgery including orthopedic surgery. She is also a large animal veterinarian for a practice in Cherry Valley. Dr. Stacy McGlashan is unavailable at the moment covering at another practice. We will keep you updated as to her return!
Dr. Kimberly Weaver started working with us as a veterinary assistant in 2007. She then left for Veterinary school and graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2012. She has been working back with us as a veterinarian since August of 2012. Dr. Weaver is willing to work with many exotic species along with general animal welfare and surgery. Dr. Weaver is available for appointments on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday.
